Do I need to be home for pick up/drop off​?
No, during our meet and greet you can show us where and how to collect and return your dog.
What happens in the case of an emergency?
​In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately notify you. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your dog to your chosen vet, or, depending on the circumstances, to the nearest one.
What areas do you pick up and drop off to?
Eaves and Tails operates throughout the greater Hobart region and continues to expand . Currently we service from Margate to Claremont and all across the Eastern Shore (Bridgewater - Tranmere/ Lauderdale) all the way out to Midway Point and Richmond.
What animals do you care for with the Drop-in Service?
We love a large range of animals, from cat, dogs, birds, rabbits, rats and mice to horses, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens. so we want to offer our Drop-in services to as many, if not all, animals that we can. If your pet type isn't listed here please do not hesitate to contact us and ask.
What if my dog is reactive or anxious?
We provide "The Active Wander" for reactive dogs, designed so that we can focus on giving your dog the best one on one care and attention.
Do you offer training?
Yes, currently we only offer basic training included in all our walks and daycare services However, Eaves and Tails is forever expanding and improving and so we do plan to offer other training services such as Puppy School and Behavioural Training in the future.
Do you still provide daycare or walks in bad weather?
Yes. Only if the weather is unsafe for your dog or us will we ever cancel the walks or daycares.
What happens if Eaves and Tails cancels my walk?
If we cancel your walk there is no charge, if you have already paid you will get either a full refund or the chance to reschedule.
Do you operate during weekends and public holidays?
We do operate during weekends with no extra charge to your service,. Public Holiday hours are subject to change and on the days we are operating there will be a 20% public holiday fee.
Is there an age requirement for my dog? or does my dog need to be desexed or vaccinated?
Yes, for the safety of your dog and the other dogs with Eaves and Tails they must be fully vaccinated, also up to date with their vaccinations and desexed. However, we do accept fully vaccinated puppies as young as 4 months old, that are not desexed. But , we do require if you wish to continue having them join us for adventures, that at the appropriate age they must be desexed.
